India

India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh largest country by area. The second most populated country, and the most populated democracy in the world. There are a total of 1,382 islands in India this number includes uninhabited ones. The population India has is 1.408 billion. India is one of the highest disaster prone countries in the world. The locational and geographical features render it vulnerable to a number of natural hazards such as cyclone drought, floods, earthquakes, fire, landslides and avalanches. Floods happen to be the most common natural disaster in India. Cyclones and tropical storms are common, particularly off the east coast of India in the months from September through December.
 
Natural Disaster is a natural event like a flood, earthquake, or hurricane that causes great damage or loss of life. A Natural hazard is a threat of an event that has a negative impact on life or land. Catastrophes is a natural disaster  is a event that causes sudden major destruction. An example could be an earthquake, flood, forest fire, tsunami etc...
